WHO said community spirit is on the wane? Last Saturday the Wells Revellers held a fun quiz at the village hall. About 60 people attended and around £200 was raised, which goes towards hall funds.
The next Revellers event will be a jazz supper on Saturday, November 27. The Frank Partridge Trio from Birmingham will be playing easy listening jazz, which should have popular appeal. As this is a new venture for the village, let us hope it receives plenty of support. Further information will be appearing in this column at a later date, so keep your eyes peeled.
The Wells Players had a play reading on Monday last at which several members enjoyed an hilarious evening. It is hoped that one of the plays read will be performed at a future date to be announced.
