MEMBERS of the Royal British Legion (Powick and Callow End branch) are holding a barbecue at the Old Bush tomorrow (Saturday) to coincide with the fireworks there at 6.30pm.

On Thursday, November 11, a wreath laying and short dedication will be held at the war memorial, Callow End, at 11am. Members are asked to assemble at 10.45am. Later in the evening at St Peter's Church, Powick, a rehearsal for all escorts, standard bearers, wreath layers and readers will take place at 6.30pm in preparation for the parade and service on Remembrance Sunday at St Peter's Church, Powick, on Sunday, November 14, which starts at 10.50am. Cubs, Scouts, Beavers and Brownies are invited to attend at 10.30am.

A murder mystery evening is planned for Friday, November 19, at 7.30pm by Callow End Village Hall Committee. Held at the hall, there will be prizes for the super sleuths, plus raffle and licensed barn.
