IT is not always fully appreciated that there are some elements of Severn Valley Railway which are still open even when the trains are not running.
Both Kidderminster and Bridgnorth stations have a public bar and a gift shop. The King and Castle is part of the station on Comberton Hill and is open at the usual pub times.
With freshly-cooked food available at certain times and a range of draught ales always available, add convivial company and there is a relaxing time awaiting everyone.
The gift shop at Kiddermin-ster Town Station is also open at times when there are no trains.
With Christmas approaching there are plenty of ideas for gifts for young and old.
