NOMINATIONS are now being accepted for Wychavon District Council's Sports Recognition Awards.
The annual bash takes place on January 17 when sportsmen and women from across the area can have their achievements celebrated, whether it be a talented performance, dedication to coaching or contribution to their club in terms of organisation or administration.
Votes can be made in eight categories: senior, junior and disabled sports personality of the year, club of the year, coach of the year, senior and junior team of the year and outstanding contribution. Contact Sue Collins on 01905-841269 for a voting form. The closing date for entries is Friday, December 3.
This year's Wychavon Parish Games enter the home straight with several finals this month.
The dominoes final between Wick and Evesham Bengeworth takes place next Wednesday. The junior table tennis reaches a conclusion on Sunday, November 21 and Bredon and Evesham Bengeworth contest the skittles on Friday, November 26.
