A VALE of Evesham man has not been seen since Monday and police have expressed concern for his welfare.

It was about 8am that 47-year-old Roy Careless left his home in Shinehill Lane, South Littleton.

The self employed gardener is believed to have been going to see his doctor before going on to work at the home of a client but did not attend either appointment. His vehicle has since been found by police at Honeybourne railway station with his keys still in the ignition.

Press officer for West Mercia police, Richard Bull said: "Due to health reasons and the fact that he may not have taken his medication with him we believe there is genuine immediate concern for the welfare of Mr Careless."

The missing man is described as white, of slight build, 5ft 10ins tall, with short, thinning, light brown hair, blue eyes and wearing glasses. At the time he left home he was believed to be wearing plain green work trousers, green zip-up fleece and size 10 brown walking shoes.

Mr Careless, who has the word Roy tattooed on his left forearm, would also have been wearing a white-faced wrist watch with a yellow metal rim and tan coloured strap. He took approximately £5 with him.
