THE family of a woman who confronted a man at her home in Rudge Road, Evesham, is offering a reward for information leading to his conviction.

When the woman met the intruder in her home he told her that police had arrested two youths nearby on suspicion of theft and shortly before leaving the premises he also told her that he was a neighbour and that officers would soon arrive.

The woman, who does not wished to be identified, waited some 20 minutes after the man left before calling a neighbour and discovering that a small amount of cash and sentimental items of jewellery were missing.

The intruder is described as white, aged between 30 and 40, approximately 5ft tall, of slight build, clean shaven and possibly with an Irish accent.

He was dressed in dark clothing and was wearing possibly a bush-hat type.
