Evesham Utd 9,

Charlton Rvrs Blues 1

UNITED romped into a 5-0 half time lead with goals from Dean Lee, an own goal and a treble from Olly Scarrott.

The hat-trick ace soon made it six after the break before Liam Hindley's pass put Ciaran Gilbert through for his side's seventh.

Further goals from Michael Savidge and Olly Davies completed the scoring before Blues scored a late consolation.

Drakes Broughton U-15 3,

Malvern Tn 1

TOP played host to second in Sunday's Mercian League encounter when the first half was played at a frantic pace with both sides having chances.

David Clifton made several great saves to keep the scores level before Chris Ridings broke away and opened the scoring followed by a great strike by Sam Hicks to make it 2-0 to Drakes at half-time.

Malvern pulled a goal back after sloppy defending early in the second half and then applied most of the pressure with Clifton again having to produce further saves to keep Town out.

Hicks scored his second of the afternoon to effectively kill off the game and Drakes took full control late on and the win leaves them at the top of the table.

Cheltenham YMCA 0,

Evesham Utd A U-11 8

"IT'S fun to play at the YMCA" was the song as Evesham emphatically defeated the home team with a stunning display of team work.

Henry Woods opened his account when he volleyed in a Louis Brown cross. The same player then made it 2-0 after James Bearcroft ripped through the home defence and crossed perfectly.

Elliot Grady then fired home a Sam Ford cross, before Bearcroft converted a penalty after Woods had been brought down in the box.

Leon Ballard was forced to make a brave save soon after the restart as the YMCA attacker looked to beat him on one of their rare attacks.

The action moved swiftly to the other end and Brown set up George Darling for United's fifth.

Tom Evans then added to the home team's misery by taking the ball wide from a Brown pass and firing home, before adding another with low, hard drive.

Evans completed his hat-trick with a well taken penalty, after Darling was upended.

Bredon Harriers U-12 0, Littleton 0

A SLOW start by Harriers almost cost them a goal when Tom Neath handled on the line as he tried to stop a goalbound shot.

Fortunately, the resulting penalty was blasted over the bar.

After this let-off the Bredon lads spent the majority of the first half on the back foot as Littleton piled forward.

Good defensive work by Sammy Rainer, Elliot Stooke and Tom Neath and a couple of good saves by David Ballard kept the scoreline blank.

In the second half Harriers finally came to life with the attack forcing some decent half chances and Stooke volleying over from close-range.

Ross Attwood put the ball into Littleton's net only for the referee to rule it out for an alleged push and the game ended with Harriers maintaining the pressure with a series of corners on a day when a draw was a fair result.

Evesham Utd Robins U-9 7,

Lyppard Rgrs 1

ROBINS cruised to another victory with a fine display of attacking football.

Player of the match Sol Sanchez was in the action throughout and he not only scored his second hat-trick in two weeks but also created two of the other goals .

The midfield was controlled by the hard working Sam Cainey who fought for every ball and also scored a second half goal. The other goals were scored by Oliver Banfield, Tyler Bonson and Liam Tustin.

Lyppard's consolation goal was the first Evesham have conceded in seven games.

United will be hoping to take this form into Saturday's Cup game against top of the table Welland.

Badsey Rgrs U-10 2,

Swindon Village 1

A FIRST half super strike from James Schembri helped Rangers record a hard-fought victory.

The lead was maintained until five minutes from time but there was still sufficient time left for Dave Stanley to bury a close-range effort to maintain his side's 100 per cent record.

Lyppard Rgrs U-16 0, Peopleton 6

FINE strikes from Chris Andrews and James Allen gave the visitors a 2-0 advantage after 15 minutes of Sunday's clash.

The points were wrapped up for Peopleton shortly after the restart when George Dalman skipped past several tackles before laying off a perfect pass for Allen to tap home.

The provider's hard work was rewarded with his side's fourth before Allen completed his hat-trick when firing home from a tight angle.

Andrews doubled his tally in the dying minutes when deflected free-kick beat the Rangers goalkeeper.

Evesham Utd U-11 2, St Marks 2

JOSH Greaves helped United into the lead after beating two opponents and then setting up Angus Steele for the opener.

The Saints levelled after half-time only for Steele to make it 2-1 when latching on to a pass from James Hitchman.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of the scoring as the visitors broke away and grabbed a late leveller.

Oliver Wilkes was named Evesham's player of the match.

Worcester City 2,

Evesham Utd Girls U-13 5

TWO goals apiece for Deborah Lewis and the prolific Katie Armento helped United record a comfortable win.

It was debutant Gaby French who set the ball rolling with an early strike before goals from her two colleagues made it 3-0 to the hosts.

City found the net only for Lewis to notch her second - a tally matched by Armento after Worcester had made it 4-2.

Badsey Rgrs U-15 6,

Cleeve Colts Rvrs 1

BADSEY maintained their unbeaten start to the season and were boosted by a second minute opener from player of the match Shaun Read.

It was 2-0 two minutes later when Joe Smith converted a cross from George Lavis and both scorers netted again before the break to establish a winning cushion.

The second half turned into a scrappy affair and it took 32 minutes for Rangers to net again when Owen Powell's pace led to his side's fifth goal.

Cleeve reduced the arrears before Jamie Clarke applied a neat finish to cap a good team display.

Blockley U-11 4, Peopleton 5

SUPERB passing was rewarded when the visitors took the lead on a trip into the Cotswolds.

George Hodgetts was the provider and Joe Fowles finished off the move with an unstoppable strike.

Despite the majority of possession, Peopleton could only manage one more goal before half-time and that was courtesy of a Blockley player.

The visitors went on to dominate after the restart but conceded a goal on the break before Jake Bartlet made it 3-1.

Peopleton were then pegged back to 3-3 before late strikes from Arron McMinn and David Maughan completed a hard-fought win in a match that saw Stephen Nedic named player of the match.
