A TREBLE from Jamie Williams helped Kidderminster Carolians under-9s to a 30-10 victory as all of the club's junior teams took on their rivals from Stourbridge.

There were also two tries from Tom Mayall and one from Edward Ziubrynski.

And KCs other under-9s team also won by the same scoreline thanks to tries from Tom Phillips (2), Jonti Newbould, David Bissett, Liam Harrison and Aaron Barranca.

There was mixed fortunes for the under-10s who played three matches, winning one match and losing two.

Jordan Hatch scored their consolation as they went down by four tries to one in the first game.

Charlie Hopkirk got a hat-trick with Hatch, Andrew Woodward and Stephen Winter completing the scoring as they won by six tries to one in the second.

Game three was a three try to one win for Stourbridge with Liam Jones going over for Kidderminster.

With the scores from all three games added up the overall result was an 8-8 draw.

Luke Mindie and George Decothi put in impressive performances.

The under-11s produced their most entertaining, free-flowing rugby since they took up the sport as they swept to a 21-7 success.

Sam Bills, Tom Redfern and Charlie Newbould scored the tries with Redfern adding two conversions and Jonny Mockett kicked another.

New boy Alex Cairns was singled out for special praise.

The under-12s lost their first match 19-0 despite fine performances from a host of players including star performer Jordan Pope.

But they bounced back to win their second game with tries from Damian Samway (3), Sam Taylor (2) and Nick James, with six conversions from Rhys Kay. There were notable performances from star player Dean Hill, along with Robbie Bone, Dean Chester and Harry Everard.

A try from Billy Mullins gave the under strength under-13s something to smile about in their heavy defeat to Stourbridge.

With 13 players off in county development training they put out a determined 15 players, including several new faces, who stuck to their task well.

George Hill impressed as did Hugo Burton, while Robert Smith made a pleasing debut.

Chaddesley Corbett under-15s lost their first game of the season 28-10 after lapses in concentration that allowed Stratford to break away and score opportunist tries.

Tries from Steve Smith and Nathan Pullen might have been enough to get more out of the game had Chaddesley not had an off day with their penalty-kicking.

Corbett can take heart but they must remain focused for the whole of the game if they are to beat Stourbridge in next week's North Midlands cup clash.
