SOME of Worcestershire's unsung older heroes could be honoured at a glittering London awards ceremony as winners of next year's Help the Aged Living Legend Awards.
Patron Cherie Booth is calling on readers to nominate local people for their outstanding acts of bravery or kindness, marking them out as unsung heroes.
"The Living Legend Awards recognise the amazing achievements and courageous acts of older individuals, as well as the real difference made by other generations, groups and organisations," she said.
"I do hope readers will support the Help the Aged Living Legend Awards - what better way to say thank you to the older heroes of every day life?"
The Living Legend Awards, in association with BT, include categories for Local Hero, Achievement in Sport and Helping Unite Generations.
Nomination forms are available by calling 020 72391922, or by writing to Living Legends, Help the Aged, 207-221 Pentonville Road, London, N1 9UZ.
The closing date for nominations is Friday, January 28, 2005.
