A WYTHALL pub has been forced to remove banners from its building after being threatened with court action.
At a Bromsgrove Council planning committee last month, an enforcement order was placed on the White Swan pub in Alcester Road after its owner failed to gain advertisement consent and planning approval.
Planning enforcement officer at Bromsgrove Council, Julian Powell, said the pub's banners, measuring 5.8 square metres, exceeded the four-square metres covered by deemed advertisement consent and as such contravened planning regulations.
He said: "I must stress that court is always a last resort.
"I have spoken to the landlord and he assured me he would be taking down the banners."
The landlord at the White Swan refused to comment.
