KIDDERMINSTER Harriers tumbled out of the LDV Vans Trophy last night as their miserable run of results continued at the Memorial Ground.

Substitute Junior Agogo's 80th-minute goal was enough to send Bristol Rovers through to the second round of the lower league knockout competition, despite an improved showing from Harriers.

Harriers defended stoutly until ten minutes from time when Agogo made no mistake from close range after Jamie Forrester's left-wing cross broke to him.

Before then, Rovers had enjoyed most of the play and had a few sniffs of goal with Chritian Edwards, Lee Thorpe and Forrester all going close with headers.

Kidderminster 'keeper John Danby pulled off a smart save from Paul Trollope's speculative cross-shot but was otherwise not too busy at all.

Former Mansfield midfielder Craig Disley missed the best chance of the night for Rovers when he toe-poked wide from close range.

Harriers' brightest moments came when a half-volley from Simon Brown, restored to the starting line-up, was beaten away by Kevin Miller in the Rovers goal on the stroke of half-time.

And forward Kelvin Langmead narrowly failed to convert a Jesper Christiansen cross late on as he searched for the first goal of his loan spell.

Aggborough old boy Craig Hinton picked up a booking for fouling former team-mate Christiansen but made some good attacking contributions in his new role as a right wing-back.
