HOT prospect John Danby's own ambition can help bring a play-off challenge out of his Kidderminster Harriers team-mates, according to Jan Molby.
The Harriers goalkeeper, 21 next month, has been a revelation since his long-awaited call-up, opening the new Coca-Cola League Two campaign with two clean sheets.
Danby, who signed a two-year contract in the summer, was again outstanding in last night's goalless draw with Notts County at Aggborough.
He has still only started 11 games after replacing Stuart Brock but is proving why Molby rates him as one of the best young goalkeepers in the lower divisions.
The director of football admitted: "If anyone was to ring me about him I would never talk anyone out of taking a gamble on him.
"John is as bright as a button. He lifts us and demands more from his team-mates.
"He has big plans for his own career and doesn't want to be playing in a League Two team scrambling near the bottom of the table."
