NEW goalkeeper Dave Adey will replace the injured Tim Clarke in an early top-of-the-table home clash for Evesham United tonight (7.45).

Veteran Clarke pulled his groin in Saturday's 1-0 win at Burnham, which maintained Evesham's 100 per cent record, and will need to rest the injury.

So experienced former Redditch 'keeper Adey has been called up for another spell at Common Road from Midland Alliance side Studley.

Steve Hands has gone in the opposite direction on a temporary basis so will miss tonight's clash with Taunton Town who have won two and lost one.

Dave Busst has returned from holiday to take charge once again but assistant Paul West has helped ensure he has a great start to build on.

West said: "It's a nice position to be in but the players know we are not getting carried away.

"They've thoroughly deserved the results they've earned through honest hard work and endeavour but there's a long way to go.

"I'm sure Taunton will respect us and we will be respecting them. We've played them a few times over the course of the last few seasons and we know they are a tough, very well-organised outfit.

"Again all the lads can do is concentrate on getting their attitudes right and they've been spot on with that so far. They've applied themselves superbly."

Evesham may make a change or two with the likes of Andy Smith ready to return from injury though Mark Burrow is seeing a specialist over his calf injury.

Linton Bailey will again not be involved as he is thinking over a seven-day approach from former club Sutton Coldfield.
