BOSS Dave Titterton sends Stourport Swifts into this weekend's top-of-the table clash with Southern League Division One leaders Taunton Town with a "no fear" message.

Swifts moved into fourth with a 2-0 win at struggling Bedworth United in midweek and are now just four points behind Saturday's opponents.

Titterton, who will again be without knee injury victims Bryan Small and John Hayward, is relishing the chance to take on the division's early pacesetters.

"Taunton are top of the league and were one of my tips to do well," he said.

"I'm not sure whether they will last the distance because I don't know how big their squad is but they'll definitely be in with a shout.

"We had a good result the other night so we should go into the game with confidence. I've told the lads that they've got nobody to fear in this league."

Titterton added that he is happy with his present squad and will give all of his players a chance to stake a claim in due course.

Meanwhile, the Walshes Meadow boss insists he will be appealing against a likely touch-line ban after being sent from the dugout in the win over Bedford.

Titterton was dismissed for swearing after taking issue with the referee's decision to allow a free kick to be taken a long way from where a foul occurred.

"I've spoken to the ref and told him that my comments were not aimed at him," he added.
