WORCESTER City's Academy side reached the semi-finals of the Nationwide PASE Conference Cup when they defeated Southport KG 2-1 yesterday.
Shabir Khan hit the crossbar in the first minute, before Southport took the lead on five minutes.
Rob Sinclair equalised from the penalty spot midway through the first half. His first effort was saved, but had to be retaken because of the goalkeeper moving off his line too early.
Shabir netted the winner early in the second half with a close range header.
Southport had a player sent off late on for a second booking as City comfortably held on.
