WORCESTER Warriors are nursing a number of injuries ahead of their second pre-season test.

The Premiership new boys saw off Cardiff Blues 12-10 in their opening warm-up clash at Sixways on Friday night but a number of players are now a doubt for their trip to Leinster on Friday.

Wing Thomas Lombard suffered a blow to the head during the Cardiff game and will be assessed when he stops feeling the concussion symp-toms, while prop Neil Lyman has a badly bruised sternum and is also a doubt for Friday.

Skipper Ben Hinshelwood limped out of the Cardiff clash with an ankle injury but the knock is not deemed to be serious and the centre should train again this week.

Lock Craig Gillies has a swollen knee but, again, the injury is not serious, while new signing Brad MacLeod-Henderson was taken to hospital after a shoulder injury. The number eight has got the all clear, however, from doctors.

The only other casualty is Gary Trueman after a weight was dropped on his foot during training.

The centre had to undergo minor surgery after his toe became septic. Trueman, though, could yet play a part in Friday's clash if he recovers in time.

"The Cardiff game was exactly what we needed," said Worcester's director of rugby John Brain.

"It was a good, physical work-out and that is what you want from a pre-season game.

"I've always said that there's no point playing National One sides and beating them easily. You need to test yourselves and we certainly got that from Cardiff."
