KELVIN Langmead should be the next to extend his stay at Kidderminster Harriers today.

The 19-year-old Preston forward, who has caught the eye despite not scoring from five starts and one sub appearance, is set to add another month onto his loan.

Jan Molby, well aware he is quickly running out of his loan quota, did likewise with temporary deals for Simon Brown and Steve McMahon yesterday.

Brown, 21, has only found the net in the Carling Cup so far but has still shown flashes of his undoubted ability down the flanks.

The West Brom winger will be at Aggborough for a third month and then the clubs must decide whether he leaves or stays for the rest of the season.

McMahon, son of the former Liverpool midfielder, has figured in the midfield regularly for Harriers after signing for an initial month from Blackpool.

But the 20-year-old was rested in Saturday's 1-1 Coca-Cola League Two draw at home to Cambridge United.

The result ensured Harriers, who travel to Lincoln City on Saturday for an earlier 1pm kick-off, remain bottom of the table.

Director of football Molby explained: "Stephen has run himself into the ground for us since he has been here and, having not played too many games up at Blackpool recently, he looked absolutely shattered in training last week.

"I thought it was best to take both him and Kelvin out of the firing line for that game. Both will be back in contention for the trip to Lincoln."

Molby added: "I decided to give Simon a break for a couple of games as I felt he was feeling the pressure of playing in a struggling side.

"He came back into the side last weekend and showed in the first-half what he is more than capable of."

Harriers have used up two other loan options with Portsmouth's Shaun Cooper still at the club.

Heading out of Aggborough is striker Scott Rickards who has signed for Redditch United, where he has already been among the goals, until the end of the season. It is believed to be on a free transfer.

Harriers midfielder Jamie Gleeson has joined Isthmian League Premier Division club Eastleigh on a month's loan.

Harriers Under 18s lost 2-0 at Port Vale in the Midland Youth Cup.
