CHAMPION runner Kirsty Law is making great strides in golf after winning a prestigious competition.
The 16-year-old was crowned Midlands women's golfer of the year following an impressive victory at Redditch's Abbey Park club.
Law is already the junior county champion for the sport as well as achieving a similar feat in cross country running.
A member of Evesham Golf Club and Worcester Athletic Club, she is now considering focusing her attention on the fairway in a bid to eventually become a professional.
But it seems the talented Pershore High studen, from Drakes Broughton could have a bright future in either sport.
Her mother Sally said: "Kirsty was told she was the youngest person to win the golf competition for 28 years.
"She hasn't done much running recently as she's been concentrating on her golf."
