The chairman of North Ledbury Hunt, Christopher Tolley, lost his battle against cancer on Tuesday.
His daughters travelled to London on Wednesday to protest against the proposed hunting ban.
Mr Tolley lived in Alfrick, where he was chairman of the parish council for a number of years.
Local residents are mourning the loss of an active member of the community.
Councillor Garth Lowe said: "It's a great loss to me and a great loss to the village. He lived here for a long, long time and loved it.
"He was one of those people you could always go to with any problems, nobody had a bad word to say about him."
