THE Malvern Town Council office on Belle Vue Terrace may become a shop again.

The council is keen to make the most of its headquarters building, which caused controversy over the amount of money spent on it.

Property consultants King Sturge have been instructed to apply for planning permission to change the use of the building's ground floor into a shop.

The property was for many years home to the Manders pharmacy and the interior is still lined with old-fashioned wooden cabinets and drawers.

The council's best value committee will hear the latest news about the building at its meeting on Monday, September 20.
