EPILEPSY sufferers in Worcestershire aged over 60 can find information and advice about the condition from a new booklet.

The national charity Epilepsy Action, which has a branch in Worcester, has developed the guide entitled New to Epilepsy in Later Life.

It addresses many of the concerns raised by a survey carried out by the charity of their members aged 60 or over, which found there was a shortfall in advice and information offered to older, newly diagnosed epilepsy patients.

Shelley Wagstaff, Epilepsy Action's advice and information co-ordinator, said: "People who develop epilepsy in later life can be particularly anxious about how the condition will affect their quality of life."
