A WOMAN left £1.1m to charity after her death on Wednesday, May 19.
Mary Bottjer, from Moseley Road in Hallow, left shares in her estate to the Haematology Department of Ronkswood Hospital and the Worcester Diocesan Board of Finance for Hallow Church.
Other charities to benefit from the estate were The Brookes Memorial Fund for the advancement of education, the National Trust, Great Ormond Street Hospital, British Red Cross, Children's Society, Youth Hostel Association, Mencap, Christian Aid, RNIB, RNID and the Motor Neurone Society.
Probate was granted to solicitor Andrew Grant Duncan of The Tything and her sister Cicely Sanderson of Llanymnech in Powys.
