Thomas Chimes (letter September 9) has much in common with all those who support the expansion of Kanes in the rural environment of Middle Littleton.
He doesn't live there! Nor do the vast majority of those who work there.
Parishioners have had this uncontrollable development foist upon them year after year in the name of "employment of local people". Some locals!
No doubt Mr Chimes is one of the many residents of Wyre Piddle anxious to cut off that community from the rest of the world by use of their expensive bypass. Meanwhile Littletonians have to cope with heavy vehicles trundling through their lives day after day, wrecking their properties and imposing inconvenience, pollution and danger.
Of course businesses should be allowed to expand - in the right place.
Eric Hutchinson, one time Chairman of North & Middle Littleton Parish Council, Walton Cardiff, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
