A SMALLER than usual group of Eve-sham Wheelers, div-ided into two groups, took to the latest weekly Sunday Morning club run.

Adrian Main led the faster group, while Carol Hall led her birthday run out of town.

The routes taken were similar through the Worcestershire lanes via Bishampton, Rouse Lench, Radford, Inkber-row, Bradley Green and Hanbury with a coffee stop taken at The Raven Hotel in Droitwich.

Return took a similar route although exploring other lanes to complete 50 miles.

The annual Three Counties Audax was held on the same course as last year and 74 riders, including ten Whe-elers, were on the start line.

The weather was favo-urable and the first riders home finished in eight hours and 24 minutes with the last in at 9.45pm, completing the ride in just under 14 hours.

Despite a small entry for the annual hill climb on Dover's Hill, it was encouraging that half the field were juniors or younger.

Ben Stockdale took the honours followed closely by Matt Ullmer and David Cole, while 12-year-old Tom Stockdale showed fine potential.
