PEOPLE seeking work over the upcoming festive period will be able to see what is on offer during a recruitment event in Kidderminster.

Kidderminster Jobcentre is holding the Christmas jobsfair at the town's Rowland Hill Shopping Centre next Thursday, between 10am and 4pm.

Specialist Jobcentre Plus advisors will be on hand to give help and provide advice on applying for vacancies and completing application forms.

Information on the range of help that could be available when people start work will also be accessible.

Kim Evans, Kidderminster Jobcentre manager, said: "Last year, many people found temporary work over Christmas as a result of coming to the jobsfair and we are hoping for even greater success this year.

"There are 300 jobs on offer, mainly in retail, but there is also some warehouse and distribution work for those who would prefer it."

She told the Shuttle/Times and News said: "Jobs are full and part-time but employers are especially looking for people who are willing to work flexible hours and those who don't mind working late nights or weekends as the seasonal rush gathers pace.

"Most of the jobs require no previous experience and many come with training," she added.
