THE REFORMED Ludlow Leopards are appealing to the local community to come forward and join their Basketball club in a number of capacities.

The club which started in 2000, but effectively folded two years later, are looking to get back into full swing on the back of an initiative from the South Shropshire Sports development team.

Basketball is becoming one of the growth sports within the country, and the development team is keen to assist a group of adults who are willing to help local youngsters develop their skill, and more importantly have a lot of fun.

A committee has been formed and in liaison with the Ludlow Secondary School PE department have set up a training programme, starting in the autumn. The school hall will be used as the focal point for training, practice and future games.

The sessions will take place on Monday evenings, with a nominal charge of a £1 per session. Anyone interested in being a playing member, offering their skills as a coach or just assisting is very welcome to speak to the club chairman on 07812-099-227 or the secretary Jane Hulley on 01584-878235.
