THE ladies of Broadway Golf Club provided high drama at the County Gross Team Championships at Henbury.
The quartet of Liz Carruthers, Lin Everitt, Pauline O'Hagan and Vicki Watkins nipped in right at the death with a score of 241 to pip Cotswold Hills (243) to the title.
The Cotswolds club staged the Kitcat Cup on a blustery day when the standard scratch of 72 moved to a CCS of 75.
Henbury's Caroline Reed won the trophy with a fabulous score of 38 points, while home player Debbie Thornhill won the Silver Division with a total of 36 points.
The Gloucestershire County Championships take place at Bristol and Clifton GC on September 24 - 36-hole qualifier- 25 and 26 when Rachel Rowntree (The Bristol) will be defending her crown.
