THERE was less joy for Chaddesley seconds who suffered their first defeat of the season, going down 35-7 at home to well-drilled Worcester Wanderers.
Despite some excellent defence by Chaddesley, Wanderers ran in six first half tries to lead 30-0 at the break.
The first 25 minutes of the second half were played out in the Chaddesley half but superb cover defence from Paul Wilcox, Andy Needham and Adam Jones prevented Wanderers scoring again until their seventh try 10 minutes from time.
Chaddesley finally managed to put some sustained passages of play together and after several strong drives by the forwards had a Frank Saparito try ruled out.
They were not to be denied and their consolation score came when they were awarded a penalty try after Wanderers deliberately collapsed the maul and Ian Chambers added the conversion.
