BATTLE of Britain Day was marked in Evesham yesterday at special services in Evesham Cemetery and at the War Memorial in Abbey Park.
Standard Bearers from the RAF Association and Royal British Legion branches paraded for the service of remembrance in Waterside where there are 23 war graves, including those of 11 Canadian and one Australian airman.
Prayers were said and wreaths laid before the parade moved to the Cenotaph in Abbey Park where another short service was held and wreath laid.
"It is something we have been doing for some years on Battle of Britain Day to pay tribute to those who died," said spokesman Ron Walker.
