EXCITED Vale folk turned out in their droves when a television soap star opened the revamped Kwik Save store in Evesham.
Brian Capron, known to millions of Coronation Street fans as the money-stealing murderer Richard Hillman, and Where the Heart is villain Ozias Harding, opened the doors of the supermarket in High Street on Wednesday after the store's £500,000 refurbishment.
Kwik Save manager Simon Bowden said: "The isles were packed with shoppers wanting his autograph.
"Brian was very approachable. He quite happily signed autographs and chatted to people in the store for much longer than he needed to."
He added: "Our store is just one of the latest to undergo the Kwik Save regeneration process aimed at giving stores across the country a more modern and fresh feel.
"It now has a new layout, with wider isles and hundreds of new products."
