A SPATE of car crimes has prompted police to appeal for information to help them track down the offenders.

An incident at Kidderminster's Watermill car park ended with a man who had threatened to kill the owner of a Rover Metro running off.

That happened between 9pm and 9.15pm on Tuesday, August 31. The man who fled was described as around 5ft 11ins tall, of stocky build and aged about 23. He was wearing a light-coloured bomber-type or tracksuit top, baseball cap and possibly dark trousers.

Anyone with information should contact DC Wheeler at Kidderminster police station.

In the second incident, between 11.30pm and 11.45pm on Tuesday last week, a blue Ford Escort was stolen from Goldthorn Road, Kidderminster.

Soon after the theft, the vehicle collided with another car on Walter Nash Road West and three males ran away.

The first offender was wearing a black t-shirt with a red stripe, the second a football shirt and the third wore a white baseball cap.

The third incident happened at the entrance to Safeways car park in Green Street, Kidderminster when a man was involved in a collision with a green estate car.

The driver of the car did not stop at the scene.

The victim suffered an ankle injury and, following treatment, was discharged from Kidderminster Hospital.

Anyone who knows anything about the second and third incidents can contact PC Richard Price at Kidderminster on 0845 444888.
