STOURPORT Swifts warmed up for this weekend's FA Cup clash with Rushall Olympic with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Bracknell Town.

Galvanised by their battling penalty shoot-out win over Buxton in midweek, Dave Titterton's side brushed aside their hosts with a three-goal blast inside the opening 20 minutes.

The omens had not looked good for Swifts, motorway chaos ensuring they only reached Bracknell's ground 30 minutes before kick-off.

But they hit the ground running and opened the scoring after barely ten minutes when Mark Atkinson squeezed a shot under the body of home keeper Chris Andrew.

Man of the match Paul Lloyd doubled the lead with a 30-yard effort with John Shirley tapping home a third following some good work by Mark Crisp.

There could have been further goals from the visitors with Atkinson going closed before the break while defender Jay Powell sent a header just over after meeting a Dan Mason corner.

The final goal came nine minutes from time when a long clearance from Aaron O'Malley caused confusion in the Bracknell defence and centre half Neil Baker managed to turn the ball into his own net having collided with his keeper.

Swifts were rarely troubled by the Berkshire side, Gavin Smith going closest to a consolation when he drilled a shot over the bar when well placed.
