CHARITIES are being sought to spend more than £3,000 collected at this month's Stourport Carnival.
A total of £3,318 was raised with a street collection at the September 4 event and will be distributed to charities in the town.
Organiser, Pete Roberts, said: "People were very generous, they say that times are hard but it didn't show in our cans.
"I would like to give a big thanks to all those who contributed and helped to make it a great day."
The good causes must be based in Stourport, he added.
Applications for the money should be sent to Mr Roberts by October 9 at 26 Bridge Street, Stourport, DY13 8DR.
