HISTORY SOCIETY: Fifty members attended the September meeting which was held in the refurbished WI hall. The speaker, Aylwin Sampson, a Cheltenham lecturer, gave a talk illustrated with colour slides called Cotswold Enigma.
The last of the summer outings, organised by Ray Poulton, was a visit to Salisbury Cathedral. After lunch the coach party travelled to Stonehenge for a two-hour visit.
The next meeting will be held on October 13, when the speaker, Peter Milford, will give a talk on What's In A Name?
