SIMON Brown believes Kidderminster Harriers' class of 2004-05 are better than last season's squad and insists it is only a matter of time before they halt their slide.

The young striker has agreed to extend his stay at Aggborough for another month despite a frustrating personal rut which has seen him score just one Carling Cup goal and one in the league.

But although things aren't going well for the West Brom player on a personal or a team front, he has faith in the ability of himself and his team-mates.

"I think there's more quality in this squad than we had last year," he said.

"We just need to get a few more players back from injury to increase competition for places.

"I'm sure when we get everyone back and they gel, we'll be alright."

Brown, who is contemplating staying at Kidderminster for the whole season with chances at the Hawthorns limited, enjoys the atmosphere at Aggborough.

"Although we're a bit down at the moment, the banter is good and we're all determined to put it right," he said.

"I get on well with the lads and the coaching staff and the chance of first team football is too good for me to turn down."
