WHERE has E gone? Council chiefs have had to re-order a massive sign for a Kidderminster car park - after spelling Horsefair wrong.
The sign at the at the entrance to Wyre Forest District Council's car park in Broad Street missed out the crucial vowel - a faux pas amid its much vaunted plans to redevelop the area, north of the town.
Head of cultural, leisure and commercial services, Andrew Dickens, said an outside contractor had made the sign and would pay to have it replaced.
He said: "It is just a simple error with the typesetter. When they have typeset the sign they have simply misspelled it.
"Our design was correct and they have admitted it was their mistake and have put it right."
Liberal ward councillor, Amanda Poole, said she was stunned by the mistake.
She explained: "I don't know how anybody could make a blunder like that. The Horsefair has been around for several hundred years.
"I think residents would be very angry. I would be if it was right by where I lived."
