CHADDESLEY Corbett seconds ended their Worcestershire County League Division One season with a 15-run victory over Pershore.

Batting first, Chaddesley posted 255, and bowled Pershore out for 240.

Chaddesley took 24 points and Pershore just eight, which means the villagers ended up fourth.

BEWDLEY played the a friendly at Badsey, going down by seven wickets.

Bewdley batted first, and totalled 163-8 off their 45 overs, reduced because of rain. Michael Gavan top scored and was the pick of the batsmen, out caught and bowled for 53. Youngster Kumar and Singleton showed promised lower down the order.

In reply Badsey chased a revised target of 145 off 40 overs, with ease, achieving the required runs with only three wickets down, and with 10 overs to spare.

Matt Cowdrey's spell of five overs for just eight runs was the highlight of the Bewdley bowling.
