OWNERS who want to keep their pets in check will get the chance to do so for free at Hopwood Veterinary Centre during national PetCheck Week from September 20-26.
To reach even more people and their pets, availability of the free pet health check has been expanded to include not only the 46 PDSA pet aid hospitals but also more than 700 private vet practices across the UK.
Last year, almost 50 per cent of pets checked during PetCheck week had one or more health problems, with two pets requiring immediate treatment for life-threatening conditions.
Anyone wishing to arrange an appointment at Hopwood Veterinary Centre in Redditch Road, next to New Cramar Cat Sanctuary, should call 0121 445 0308.
