THE annual Harvest festival was held at Ipsley Parish Church on Sunday.
The interior of the church was very effectively decorated with a variety of corn, fruit, flowers and vegetables by female members of the church.
As the weather was beautifully fine there were crowded congregations at each service.
The evening prayers were read by the rector and the Rev C Newton, and Rev SJ Pershall, Spernall, preached an eloquent sermon.
The musical portion of service was excellently rendered, especially the anthem "Thou openest thy hand", the solo in which was performed well by Mr Frank Wharrad.
Mr A Avery presided at the organ.
