While some may not have heard of The Zutons - this Liverpool band are no strangers to the scene.
Formed back in 2002, the Scouse quintet threw out a couple of early singles before re-inventing themselves at the tail end of last year.
The result is a debut album packed with exceptional songs inspired by musical luminaries as diverse as Dr John, Madness and Devo.
And with Lightning Seeds supremo Ian Broudie taking on the production of the album, the band look to have a sure fire winner.
With Confusion already snapped up by Peugeot for their latest advert - for the 307 - certain tracks have obvious commercial appeal. Others, such as Long Time Coming, have more of a leaning to a Talking Heads influence.
But the pick of the tracks is the melancholic Not A Lot To Do - the perfect accompaniment to a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Singer David McCabe is a fine talent while lead guitarist Boyan Chowdhury also earns his corn with a virtuoso display.
