PHOTOGRAPHING glamorous British actress Minnie Driver is all in a day's work for a Droitwich Spa snapper, who has compiled an exhibition of his work spanning 30 years.

Stu Booth is holding a display of a lifetime of his work in professional photography at Ombersley Gallery this month. He has spent the last three decades building a reputation as one of the best advertising photographers in the country, taking on clients from Royal Worcester porcelain to Empire Stores catalogues.

The 51-year-old is based at his studio in Wassage Way, on Hampton Lovett industrial estate, and his daily work can vary from snapping food for menus to producing billboard posters. Stu was born in Ombersley in 1953 and was introduced to the art of photography at the age of 17. Celebrated commercial photographer, Roy Winwood, took him on as an apprentice at his Worcester studio and later set up his own firm.

"I was extremely lucky to have such a good trainer and start in the industry," he added.

This is Stu's first exhibition in his home town and it runs at Ombersley Gallery in Main Road until next Wednesday. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

"The exhibition is very varied. It has to be seen to be believed," said Stu, who lives in Tagwell Road.
