FINSTALL WI's August meeting was held at the home of Pat and Hal Fernihough. Members enjoyed a quiz and a chat in their lovely garden.
For our September meeting we were back in the newly-decorated village hall for an afternoon of slides and a wildlife talk by Gordon Forrest. The theme was Chaddesley Woods. Gordon told us of the long history of the woods - it being one of the oldest in the country. He is a member of the RSPB and his photography is superb. Gordon has written a number of wildlife books and members were pleased to obtain them as presents.
Muriel Cartwright, with her woodland picture, won the competition.
Members will be attending the group meeting in October and the autumn council meeting on October 26. We meet on the first Monday in the month at 2.15pm. Please call 01527 875628 for further details.
