Ben Markall scored twice as Town won their opening Central Warwickshire League Division A match.

Matthew Lamb and Paddy Longden were also on target for the visitors. Markall also scored a hat-trick in Town's 3-1 win at Hunt End Rangers in midweek.

Man of the match for Town was Daniel Williams. Lickey's man of the match was goalkeeper Daniel Forsyth.

Two goals from Ryan Bennett and one apiece from James Ward and Lee Groves put Town 4-0 up at half time. Lakeside used the strong wind to get three back after the break.

Spartek started the season with a fine display of attacking football.

Four goals from Ollie Price, a hat-trick from Matt Vigurs and a goal from Jacob McAtthie capped a great performance. Matt Williams also dominated midfield.

Max Loveridge scored a hat-trick, Oliver Pugh scored twice and Daniel Dawson once as Lickey opened up a 6-0 lead.

They then fell asleep a gave away two own goals as Solihull pulled three back.
