TWO second half goals sealed Droitwich Spa's safe passage to the Challenge Vase Second Round.
An Andy Keenahan penalty and strike from Richie McGuire were enough to see off West Midlands Police Reserves 2-0 in last Saturday's first round clash at King George Playing Fields.
Manager Kevin Blaber said: "It was a good result and it was a toufh game. We have started quite well, we are going along quite nicely at the moment."
Droitwich had the better of the first half, with McGuire and Matt Crawford both going close, while Tom Sanders, Garry McGrillen and Damian Harris dealt with any threat at the back.
Spa's pressure eventually told after the break when McGuire was felled in the box and Keenahan tucked away the penalty.
Goalkeeper Nick West was later forced into a one-on-one save and it needed McGuire's goal 15 minutes from time to make sure of victory.
Spa travel to Mile Oak Rovers this Saturday.
