REDDITCH United boss Rod Brown has an anxious wait over his two loan star strikers Norman Sylla and Scott Rickards.

Reds leading scorer Sylla of Tamworth, who's netted eight times in five games including consecutive hat-tricks, and Kidderminster Harriers striker Rickards are both on a month loan at the Valley but manager Rod Brown is desperately trying to tie at least one of them up for a longer spell.

Brown spoke to Tamworth boss Mark Cooper about Sylla on Monday and was meeting with Harriers manager Jan Molby yesterday to discuss whether a deal on Rickards could be thrashed out.

Brown said: "After speaking to Mark (Cooper) he personally doesn't have Norman in his plans for the future but I think Sylla is a favourite with the chairman and he will want some money for him.

"He will go back to Tamworth at the end of his spell and then they will decide whether to extend the loan or not."

But with Tamworth struggling for goals, points and players in the Nationwide Conference it could be a long wait for the 20-year-old hitman after his spell ends at the end of September.

Meanwhile, Brown thinks Rickards spell could be extended.

He said: "We might get his extended for another month because he just wants to play football but we can't assume anything."

The Reds will want to continue their incredible goal tally from the last two games as they entertain current league leaders Hinckley United on Saturday (KO 3pm).

Brown said: "I'd love us to be the first team to take all three points off Hinckley but they have will have a tough test against Nuneaton Borough before we play them."

Simon Hollis and Matty Gardiner who were missing against Barrow should be available for the game against Hinkley United on Saturday.

Neil Manton will be out for two months following his successful medial ligament operation.
