VICTORY at Redditch gave Bromsgrove Hockey Club Men's First XI the perfect tonic ahead of the new season.
Goals from Mark Robinson, Ben Husbands and Nick Frizzell gave Julian Court's side a 3-0 win at their rivals last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Bromsgrove Thirds won 2-0 against Kidderminster at Bromsgrove's new home pitch at Arrow Vale.
Captain Alex Fraser opened the scoring and youngster Carl Troth added a second.
Elsewhere, Bromsgrove Men's Indoor team won 6-1 against Chaddesley Corbett at Kidderminster's Forest Glades Leisure Centre last Wednesday.
Steve Gill's side also drew 3-3 with Kidderminster in their other game after trailing 3-0 at half time.
Training starts on Tuesdays at Redditch Hockey Club from 8.30pm until 10pm, a temporary arrangement until training begins at Arrow Vale on Monday, October 4.
