YOUNG anglers in Alcester are being invited to cast their lines into the River Arrow on Saturday in a competition to reel them in a host of worthwhile prizes.
Organised by the Rotary Club of St Nicholas, the competition is open to all youngsters in Years 5 and 6 who attend either St Nicholas' CE Primary or Our Lady's Primary schools.
It will take place on private land in Oversley Green, with the permission of the owner, and up to 30 pegs will be available on a first come first served basis.
Pegs will be drawn at 9.30am and the competition runs until noon, when prizes will be handed out.
All entrants must be accompanied by an adult and senior anglers will be on hand to help out throughout the morning.
To take part, contact Alan Stephens at Alcester Sports and Tackle, in High Street.
