MORE than 100 schoolchildren received a taste of military life through the ages at an exhibition that brought the past back to life.
Experts in the full military kit of British soldiers from former battles were on hand to demonstrate and describe the equipment at the Guildhall, High Street, Worcester, on Monday.
Pupils from nine schools around the Faithful City were also treated to a tour of the Guildhall and the ever-popular subterranean cells.
The children learned more about soldiers in the English Civil War, the dangerous career of a Jacobean soldier, and about the perils for a 1944 rifleman.
Pupils also learned more about the armour and weaponry of Roman legionaries who landed on the British Isles in AD54 and made it part of the Roman Empire.
