WORCESTER Wanderers started their Midlands Four West South rugby campaign with a 26-12 victory at rivals Evesham.
Determined Wanderers put pressure on from the kick-off and were camped in their opponents' half for long periods.
Evesham took a surprise lead with a break-away try but Worcester hit back almost immediately.
A fine individual try from scrum half Lee Watson was converted by newcomer Ryan Milne.
They were 14-5 ahead by the interval after Milne went over for a converted try.
Frodo Henshaw put Wanderers further ahead in the second-half with a try.
Then full back Duffield crashed over for another, converted by Milne, before Evesham grabbed a late seven points as a consolation.
Wanderers are always looking for new players with training at Sixways from 7pm on Wednesday evenings.
