THE first round of the Wor-cester and District Football League's Bernard Finnegan Cup saw an incredible 21-0 scoreline in favour of Martley Spurs Reserves against AFC West Midlands.

Luke Willetts led the rout with eight goals, while Tom Birchley hit a hat-trick and Dan Mayfield added a brace.

In the same competition Malvern Radar thrashed Deers Leap Athletic 11-0, Neil Henderson and Lee Hoo-per both hitting hat-tricks.

Droitwich Spa Eagles beat Pillar of Salt 5-4 after extra-time. Andy Hodgetts netted twice for the Eagles as did Simon Jones for the Pillar.

There were also two goals each for Gareth McCarthy of AFC Severnside who won 3-2 against Oak Apple, Pat Badham in New Inn's 4-1 home win over Northwick Vale and Mark Webb as Claines beat Bedwardine 2-0.

A seven-goal thriller played in front of a large crowd at Prinner Sports saw visitors Comer Rangers snatch a 4-3 extra-time victory with goals from Stuart Holland (2), Chris Newm,an and Darran Hobbs.

Prinner's goals came from Grant Gibson (2) and a Russell Hemming thunderbolt.

In the Katherine Rayer Cup, last season's runners-up Perrywood Reserves went thr-ough 4-2 against AFC Mazak with goals from Kevin Matthews, Jamie Preece, Mike D'Apolito and David Phillips.

Nunnery Wood Sports had an excellent 5-2 victory over Arrow 2000 with Rich Bray (2), Calvin Fowler, Mitch Winwood and Dan Berry on target for the winners. Simon Hughes netted both Arrow goals.

Phil Turpin and Dene Sharp both notched hat-tricks for Archdales as they hammered Cutnall Green 10-1.

Adam Jones and Oliver Stallard both bagged a brace as The Bridge beat Kays 5-3, while in the Sunday League Division One goals from Anthony Burton and Samrik Sandu gave Exel Star & Garter a narrow 2-1 win against Perdiswell.

In the Saturday League, the prolific Neil Bampfield grabbed a hat-trick for Tolladine Sports who beat Welland Athletic 5-1. Matt Cook of Hanley Swan also hit a treble in their 6-3 success against Koinonia.
